Dr. Landa's Herbal Mouthwash
The Herbal Mouthwash is a purely Czech product.It is made solely from alcohol herb extract and propolis extract without any preservatives. The herbal mouthwash is highly effective due to a unique method of extracting effective substances from herbs and propolis.
It is a two-component product, and its effectiveness is based on the interaction of both extracts. It contains no preservatives and was approved by the Czech National Institute of Public Health (NIPH) on 5 May 2003, ref. no. 0304036

Instructions for use
Dr. Landa's Mouthwash (Solution I and Solution II) is a concentrated solution; we recommend that it be watered-down in a ratio of 1:1. If necessary, the ratio may be adjusted according to the patient's individual tolerance, or the raw solution may be used. Start by rinsing your mouth with the solution no. I, then proceed with the solution no. II. We recommend intensive rinsing for 1-3 minutes using 10-15 ml of the mouthwash. Mix the solution with water, based on individual tolerance. Use the Mouthwash after brushing your teeth thoroughly. Do not swallow the mouthwash. Do not eat or drink for 30 minutes after application. Persons with allergy against propolis or any other of the product's ingredients should pay special attention!
Professional instructions for the use of Dr. Landa's Mouthwash with:
Chronic periodontitis, gingivitis, bleeding of gums, periodontitis as symptom of general medical condition, moderate loosening of teeth; as periodontium preservation therapy.
- mouth rinse over 3-4 weeks, direct application to gums at least twice a day
- mouth rinse once a day for one month
- once in 3 days over 2-3 months
- once a week as preservation therapy
Professional instructions for the use of Dr. Landa's Mouthwash with:
Aggressive periodontitis, formation of periodontal abscesses, periodontitis with endodontal complication, wandering tooth.
The mouthwash boosts the effect of broad-spectrum antibiotics (e.g. Rovamycin, Dalacin). Parallel application enhances their effects. Therefore, the mouthwash can be used for instance with Rovamycin 3 M.I.U. In any case, consult your GP before you start taking any antibiotics (antibiotics should be taken against prescription only).
Most common application:
1 capsule every 12 hours over a period of ten days (i.e. 2 packages), along with mouthwash rinse 4 x a day after every meal as long as ATB are taken. If using watered-down mouthwash, apply 8 x a day.
With most severe periodontitis forms:
a) either 1 capsule every 8 hours over a period of 10 days (i.e. 3 packages), along with mouthwash rinse 4 x a day after every meal as long as ATB are taken. If using watered-down mouthwash, apply 8 x a day.
b) or 1 capsule every 12 hours over a period of 15 days (i.e. 3 packages), along with mouthwash rinse 4 x a day after every meal as long as ATB are taken. If using watered-down mouthwash, apply 8 x a day.
After you stop taking antibiotics, we recommend that you:
- continue rinsing the mouth twice a day over a period of 1-2 months (mornings and evenings)
- once a day over 1 month
- twice a week as preservation therapy
Possible ways of mouthwash application
- Rinsing with concentrated or watered-down solution (1:1 or more depending on the patient's tolerance)
- Sprinkling of affected areas (gums)
- Direct application to affected areas (gums) with cotton buds

Landa's application method
The maximum effect of the effective substances on the affected gums is guaranteed when using Dr. Landa's special application method, which lies in a perfect massage and treatment of the affected gums. It is particularly useful in more serious cases of gum disease. Follow the procedure described below:
- Prepare the mouthwash and a professional toothbrush (e.g. Curaprox CS 5460 which you can order in our e-shop).
- Start with brushing your teeth thoroughly with a good-quality toothbrush and interdental brush. Follow the proper tooth brushing technique (see the Dental Hygiene section).
- Next, immerse the toothbrush Curaprox CS 5460 into the non-watered-down Mouthwash I (Solution I) and gently massage the affected gums. Repeat the procedure. After the massage, rinse your mouth thoroughly with Solution I. For this mouth rinse, use the mouthwash watered down in a ratio depending on individual tolerance.
- Next, immerse the toothbrush into the non-watered-down Mouthwash II (Solution II) and use the same procedure as the one described with Solution I above. In the end, rinse your mouth thoroughly with the Mouthwash Solution II. For this mouth rinse, use the mouthwash watered down in a ratio depending on individual tolerance.
- Do not eat or drink for 30 minutes after application.
Note
Regular application of the mouthwash may result in a moderate temporary coloration of teeth caused by the presence of natural pigments, which nevertheless disappears naturally after thorough mechanical brushing of teeth with a whitening toothpaste. Special attention should be paid by persons with allergy against propolis or any other of the product's ingredients. Due to alcohol contents, the product must not be used by drivers and children.
